The second chapter examines the transition to armed struggle, the first assassinations, and the attack in Rome.

It also looks at the kidnapping of Aldo Moro (who was then President of Christian Democracy, having been Minister for Foreign Affairs and President of the Council), the 55 days of his kidnapping, and his subsequent execution.

The events of the film end on 9th May 1978. The Red Brigades continued their combat for another ten years. Ten years interspersed with murders, kidnappings, internal struggles, division and arrests - until the long-standing leaders, who were imprisoned at the time, declared “the experience of armed struggle over” in April 1987.
