TUNNELLING THE ENGLISH CHANNEL

At the Elysée palace, King Edward VII and the President of the Republic occupyadjoining bedrooms . They doze off and dream that the tunnel under the English Channelhas been  built thanks to them. It is unveiled and the President Faillères is on his way tothe station Charing-Cross in  London and is on board a train passing through the tunnelunder the  English Channel. However, two trains collide and the tunnel collapses. It is but a nightmare, and the two State leaders wake up and congratulate each other.
