Organic farms’ popularity grew exponentially in the middle of the eighties. Dominican priest and engineer Godfrey Nzamujo decided to found his farm. “Songhaï” implements a reasonable use of resources.

“Africa is rich but it forgets it.”
The “Songhaï” farm puts a reasonable and sustainable use of local resources and waste into practice. Godfrey intends to make it a laboratory to shape tomorrow’s agriculture and adapt it to African society’s evolutions. His example inspired the UN to replicate his model in other African countries.
Taking all products together the farm provides more than 700.000 euros of profits each year. They are all reinvested in improving the farm’s installations. More than 30 years after its creation “Songhaï” is spearheading the fight against poverty and rural exodus.
