The drive from San Jose, in Costa Rica's central highlands, to the seaport of Puerto Limon on the Caribbean Coast, takes approximately 3 hours.

The place is home to India, Muñoncito and Elisa - 3 sloths that were formerly endangered. They are now permanent "guests" in the Jaguar Rescue Center. There are many more animals in need than the animal station can accommodate, and this is a permanent logistical and financial problem. The animals that the Jaguar Rescue Centre cannot take in have to be put down. Along with a handful of locals, Encar and Sandro try to keep the Centre going.
