Reunion Island is home to a multitude of cultures, and has witnessed the birth of a unique Creole medicine, combining the theory of Humours with a sacred knowledge of botany.

Bernard travels to this French territory, situated nearly 10,000 km from mainland France, to meet the island’s “herbal tea makers”. These herbalist healers practice a Creole medicine that stems from multiple legacies, imbued with an omnipresent link to the earth and nature. Judith and Daniel Tibère are the worthy representatives of this Creole identity. This couple of herbal tea makers, aged 65 and 67, have Chinese, Madagascan and African origins. As healers, they combine vast botanical knowledge with a great deal of sensitivity.
