François puts down his orange Mobylette to try out the local model, the “grenat”, a veritable Guadeloupian institution.
Travelling around Grande-Terre and Basse-Terre, he discovers the identity of the island of Guadeloupe, located between four continents. On his travels, he comes across an Amerindian pirogue, a Hindu temple, Bouladgel - chants inherited from slaves from Africa – and, of course, Guadeloupians, who introduce him to their culture.
