Riding around on his “Grenat”, the emblematic scooter of Guadeloupe, François introduces us to this island born out of volcanism, a veritable hub of varied ecosystems over a tiny surface area.

From the summit of the La Soufrière volcano to the pillow-lava of La Désirade, he travels around astonishing Guadeloupian landscapes, far from the picture postcard images the French Antilles usually depict. In addition to this mineral universe, François takes a trip to the mangrove, the key feature of the Guadeloupian ecosystem, before discovering the seabed, and the cetaceans that populate the island’s coast. This scientific trip to an unexpected Guadeloupe has the Caribbean as a backdrop.
