Nicknamed “the green pearl of Asia” by English colonists, Kerala is home to Southern India’s only virgin forest. 

India’s last native tribes and over 400 species of wild animal live here. Deforestation is gradually eroding the wild animals’ territory. In quest of water and food, elephants are often forced to leave the jungle, and end up at the entrance to villages.
