The long, sinuous mountain range of the Drakensburg snakes through South Africa for 450 kilometres.

On this magical mountain, blacks and whites live together, in a country in which Apartheid, although officially abolished, still plagues daily life. Despite the fact that segregation is over, the poorest members of society continue to pile into QwaQwa, meaning “whiter than white” in Zulu, a name that refers to the snow covering every mountain peak during the month of July.
