Blending sequences of traditional animation and American comic-strip-influenced graphics with carefully restored and coloured archive images, the series paints the active portraits of heroes who have made a lasting mark on the history of aviation: Charles Lindbergh and Manfred von Richthofen.
Each of the series’ episodes recounts, in 26 minutes, the life and exploits of a hero who has gone down in aviation history. The first two episodes focus on Charles Lindbergh and Manfred Von Richthofen, known as the Red Baron. Later episodes include figures as diverse as Henri Guillaumet, Blériot, Howard Hugues and Chuck Yeager.
