In Iraq, an offensive has been launched: 120,000 Iraqi fighters are fighting to free Fallujah and Mosul from the control of Daesh.

These Sunni, Christian, and mainly Shi’ite volunteers have joined the “Popular Mobilisation Forces”. With American help and a coalition of 22 countries including France, the cities of Ramadi, Anbar and Tikrit have been freed, accounting for 25% of the territory. The aim is to win Fallujah then Mosul, the country’s second largest city, under Daesh control. This report portrays the daily lives of Daesh fighters: prayer, training, bivouac and preparation for combat. During a visit to a secret prison of the Ministry of the Interior, we meet an important Sunni leader who supports Daesh. It is the first time a Western television crew has been granted permission to enter the prison, where 500 prisoners are held in solitary confinement without any legal assistance.
