The Harmattan, a mythical name evoking literary fantasies and antique tales of North African cultures. One would think of going to the Sahara, where it originates; but this powerful and nomadic wind caries the desert sands up to the Gulf of Guinea, particularly in Senegal up to Cape Verde.

Starting from Dakar, Antoine makes and indispensable stop at the gorgeous Pink Lake; then he drives towards the East and the border with Mauritania to meet the people who are the most affected by the Harmattan. The locals do not enjoy the wind: from plastic bags dragged through hundreds of kilometers to the reeling crops suffering from the dry heat and sandy wind, to many it is far from being a blessing.
