In this basaltic setting made up of scree slopes and glaciers, Bernard discovers how to practice medicine in a polar environment: what are the tricks to make up for the lack of technical equipment, how to access isolated populations and how to bring them the necessary healthcare.

It is summer on the Uummannaq island, 500 kilometers north of the polar circle. The day lasts 24 hours and apart from a few sheltered oases vegetation is scarce. The extreme climatic conditions and the long distances are a considerable challenge for whoever dares to venture on the roads. This immersion in the heart or Greenland will also be a good opportunity to discover the Inuit culture, but also a character with an exceptional fate who decided to leave everything for this remote territory at the world’s end.
