This episode offers rare insight into a visionary architecture – discover the Bayreuth Festival Theater's backstage. At the end of the 19th century, composer Wagner decided to build a Festival Theater in Bayreuth – far from the bigger cities' niceties and surrounded by nature.

His ambition was to offer a deeply moving experience for its audience. Inspired by Ancient Greece's amphitheaters, the composer designed numerous architectural references and focused all the attention towards the stage which creates an incredible impression of depth. The place is also internationally recognized for its unique acoustic system enabling the same hearing experience for each viewer – wherever they are. To this day, every summer a numerous crowd gathers to enjoy Wagner's most beautiful pieces over and over again.
