Since 2015, Chad has been under attack by Boko Haram. The terrorist organization has been relentlessly attacking and increasing suicide bombings. But the country is working with its neighbors in an all-out war against the Islamic extremists – they have managed to wear the cult down. The consequence is that more and more Jihadists lay down their weapons.

It is believed there are more than 2.000 of them who came back home in the Lake Chad region. They are called the “returned”, the “penitent” or the “surrendered” of Boko Haram. These former fighters are the Chadian State's newest problem.
Amina, a failed suicide bomber; Jambe, a merciless soldier; Hassan and his wife Bintu, former members of the cult; all of them wish to come back to a normal life.
But how does Chad handle the return of these former terrorists? How are these murderers reintegrated into the Chadian society? Is there life after Boko Haram?
