Far from the frenzy of urban life, DESTINATIONS is an invitation to enjoy the simple pleasure of traveling around the world and discover places that inspired the great artists, resulting in an exchange between a land, a town, a landscape and a work of art.

Cézanne's Provence, Stefan Zweig's Brazil,  Karen Blixen's Kenya, Salvador Dali's Catalonia, or Katsushika Hokusai's Japan. The series will also take you to places that were fashioned by mankind and have become legendary, such as Jerusalem, Harar in Ethiopia, the hanging gardens of Singapore, and the iconic Route 66.
DESTINATIONS tells how these places have evolved through history, and which cultures shaped their character, their monuments, their music and their gastronomy. These 13-minute films combine learning with the pleasure of delightful images and unusual encounters with local figures and artistic sensibilities. This is an invitation on a slow voyage, to satisfy an urge for adventure, with some enlightening stopovers to fire the curiosity, inspiring one to pack one’s bags and immerse oneself in the experience.

Their dream: to become a “danseur étoile” one day. Today, those students we followed in the series, are now approaching their 25th birthday and will enter the prime of their careers.

Ten years ago, the Paris Ballet Opera School began filming the series “Budding Stars.” Five years ago, a second season focuses on the future of these young dancers. The third opus continues the story of a group of dancers who grew up together since dance school, singular and representative enough for each spectator to find themselves in the questionings and emotions they go through. Dancers who embody an aspiration that animates all of us throughout our existence : to give meaning to our lives.

A series of discussions with international specialists who think the world through the prism of property. We will explore this multi-faceted concept with a loose temporality, through the ownership of body and mind, our rights and the idea of collective property.

In 2022, how to conceptualize property? Can we move away from a solely Western vision? What can we learn from the vision of traditional societies in Africa, the Americas, Asia and Oceania? How was it historically understood in China, India or Japan? And how is it understood today in the Anglo-Saxon world, where property ownership, as in the Middle Ages, is often divided between ownership of the land and ownership of the house or building (leasehold/freehold)?
Is the cycle of property rights we are in still expanding, or is it coming to an end? With the sharing economy, are we replacing the principle of exclusive exploitation by that of shared use? Will the commons model become dominant?

Everywhere on the planet cities seem to pop up and grow, sometimes despite climatic or geographical conditions that seem impossible to live in. How do people acclimate to lead a normal life?

Follow Alexandra, a travel reporter, to meet those living in the most extreme cities of the world. The coldest, warmest, highest, most humid, etc. First stop in Yakutsk, Siberia and then La Paz in Bolivia,  to show the incredible adaptability of their inhabitants.
Some are extremely cold, others extremely hot, very high, very isolated or incredibly densely populated. The planet already has dozens of cities which, seen from our perspective, do not appear to be very appealing places to live. And yet, people like them and live in them, unaware that their daily life is a feat in itself.
Journalist Alexandra Alevêque will experience life in some of the most extreme cities in the world, living in each one long enough to learn about the locals' way of life.
What she brings back is an insight into humankind's incredible capacity to adapt and find behavioural and organisational solutions.
What do these unusual cities look like?
What is life like for their inhabitants?
What can we learn from them?

Targeted assassinations, bombings, unidentified military attacks are piling up all over the Middle East. Can the "secret war" between Iran and Israel turn into a major regional if not global confrontation?

The two countries are nowadays the two dominant powers in the Middle East. Their conflict is reinforced by the renewed tension between the United States and Iran since President Trump decided to leave the nuclear agreement. Based on unprecedented archival research, access to high profile players in Israel, Iran, Lebanon and the US, the film looks back over the forty years that followed the Islamic revolution in Iran, the Israeli invasion of Lebanon, the Civil war in Syria, to offer relevant keys to understanding the new Middle East.

While everyone knows that Trotsky's name is attached to his creation, most of its past is made up of military defeats and failures, contrary to the common idea.
