An exclusive investigation on TOTAL, the world's largest oil and gas company, which is struggling to maintain its hegemony in a world where the climate crisis is becoming increasingly worrying. Never-before-seen interviews with Total's top experts and executives.

Diving into the heart of one of the 5 oil supermajors, TOTAL. The company with 1,000 subsidiaries, which has built its empire in 130 countries by producing oil and gas, has become TotalEnergies in this year 2021 with a change of name and logo. But how does an oil company become an energy company?  Can TotalEnergies really be a credible player in the energy transition? From the company's French headquarters to the wind farm in New Mexico, people believe in it, convinced that this transformation is real. The company's engineers and CEO Patrick Pouyanné assure us that this is not greenwashing, that our future and that of the planet are now inseparable from the company's development. But from Texas to Uganda, including the Gulf of Mexico, oil and gas are still at the heart of this multinational company’s activities, which raises doubts about the effectiveness of the ecological transition announced and carried out with great fanfare.

Host of the 2022 next football World Cup, Qatar is as tiny as it is immensely rich. Torn between Western modernism and Bedouin conservatism, ruled by the iron fist of a royal family, it sits on the planet gas field and is a major geopolitical Middle East player.

This World Cup will be a symbol of the success of the “Qatar start-up” created by the House of Thani, a family saga with an almost romantic dimension. With its billions spent on everything, its princes and princesses with glamorous photos worthy of Vanity Fair covers and its palace revolutions, the Al Thani dynasty – which could be described as the “Kennedys of the Middle East” – will have succeeded in three generations in transforming a corner of inhospitable desert into a global capital. This unauthorised portrait of the rulers at the head of the richest country per capita on the planet will contrast the nation’s extremely rapid success story with its darker side: a diplomacy of corruption, worrying investments across the planet, the exploitation of quasi-slaves from Asia; but above all, the financing of the Muslim Brotherhood and multiple armed Islamist groups, some of which are terrorist, throughout the Arab Spring.

An international investigation into the hell of factory farming, deciphering the limitless power of multinationals and the law of silence to maintain an institutional and global crime.

Factory farming is the cause of unprecedented suffering. How did we get here? Essentially because of a very simple fact: our societies treat animals not as living beings, but as raw materials, as industrial products. The living being has been forgotten, invisibilized, in favor of an industrialization that destroys everything in its path. An investigation on a system that has gone completely mad.

This international investigation, brought to light by the pandemic, explains how pharmaceutical groups speculate on medicine to cause drug shortages in order to raise their prices.

Not only are we talking about the lack of ICU resuscitation devices or drugs such as propofol, but also common medicine such as paracetamol.
Covid-19 revealed the terrible shortages of medical equipment and drugs, but this system has been in place for years. It’s dangerous for patients and causes deaths. Our film will be based around 4 whistleblowers, a lawyer, a doctor, a patient and a manufacturer. We will also interview those who are trying to find solutions, such as nonprofit organizations who are making their own generic medicine to supply local hospitals. An investigation filmed in the US, Canada, France, India, Bengladesh, the Netherlands and Mexico.

Google, Apple, Facebook and Amazon (GAFAM) are replacing national structures by mining their users’ personal data. Is health the next industry facing Uberization?

Through artificial intelligence and their boundless  capacity for innovation, they have inserted themselves into a failing health care sector, which they see as just the ultimate market to conquer.
Google sorts patients in British emergency rooms. Apple takes the world's pulse, and has promised to make improving public health "its greatest contribution to mankind." Facebook has its own Zuckerberg Hospital and shares its users' "secret medical information" with the pharmaceutical industry. As for Amazon, Jeff Bezos's company has started delivering medicine, and is entering the medical-insurance market.
Is our health the next sector facing Uberization? Will nations be able to protect their citizens from the maneuvers of the Big Four?

Insomnia, sleep apnea, and narcolepsy are massively increasing in the world. In a scientific investigation, we will discover the new methods developed to find sleep: fractional sleep, light therapy, helmets that stimulate the brain.

Consequences are huge: sick leave from work, billions of dollars lost for companies, and worse: obesity, diabetes, early Alzheimer. The science of sleep has become a major priority for researchers, so much so that the Nobel Prize in medicine has just been awarded for the discovery of the internal biological clock.
