From 1946 to 1970, two fairy tales meet and answer each other. The one of the Czechoslovak New Wave, which participates in the thaw of its country, and of writer Jan Procházka, whose voice mingles with the Prague Spring.
The Czechoslovak New Wave was born in the early 1960s. It would invent a poetic and critical cinema, reveal great filmmakers (Věra Chytilová, Jan Němec, Jiří Menzel, Miloš Forman…) and claim freedom well beyond the country’s borders. Meanwhile, Jan Procházka, a young communist writer, became in no time scriptwriter and producer of films. His ascension merged with the New Wave dynamics, which changed his artistic destiny. This film recounts how this man and this cinematic movement each tried to speak out.

In less than a year, Northern Ireland has witnessed several historic events: for the first time, Catholics now outnumber Protestants, and the nationalists of Sinn Féin, the former political wing of the IRA paramilitaries, have won the elections. At a time when peace in Ireland has been undermined by Brexit, is a reunited Ireland inevitable?
Brexit has reignited old tensions in the UK. The reintroduction of tariffs on imports from the EU has woken sleeping dogs and revived the Northern Ireland conflict. The documentary looks at the impact of Brexit on Northern Ireland, where the ghosts of the past still haunt the everyday lives of the population and thwart the part of the country's economic and political plans. Extremist groups are disrupting the negotiations between London and Brussels, challenging the peace policy and the future of Europe. If Brexit has already poisoned the atmosphere to such an extent, what will happen if the island of Ireland votes on reunification? The 1998 Good Friday Agreement opens the door to such a referendum.

For the past 10 years, Narendra Modi has relentlessly pursued his policy based on Hindu supremacy: Hindutva. This ideology of hatred towards other religions in the country, particularly Islam, has also spread geopolitically around the world. From France to the UK, from India to the US, an investigation into an ideology that disseminates hate.
Since the rise to power of Hindu nationalists in 2014, India has been gradually moving away from democracy towards a regime where ethnic identity prevails. This transition is driven by Hindutva, a Hindu supremacist ideology embodied by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Those who follow this belief want India to be only for Hindus, treating people of other religions, like Muslims, Christians, and Sikhs as second-class citizens. Attacks against Christians have surged by 400% since Modi's election, accompanied by discriminatory laws targeting Muslims and widespread lynching incidents. Hindutva's influence permeates all levels of Indian society, leaving dissenters fearing reprisals and hesitant to speak out publicly. Furthermore, Hindutva serves Modi's interests on the international stage, resonating with other global nationalisms and fueling violent intercommunal conflicts extending to the United States and Europe. This documentary thus unveils a darker side of India, far from its portrayal as the world's largest democracy and Gandhi's dream of peace among communities.

At the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest, Céline Dion surprisingly represented Switzerland, but this has nothing to do with chance. From Quebec to international star, this portrait traces the singer's career to rediscover a character and an image that is all too familiar, yet more complex than it may seem.
How did Céline Dion, a worldwide star who went on to become the world's most famous Quebecker, find herself representing Switzerland at the most memorable edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in the late 80s?
Yet this has nothing to do with chance. In fact, in more ways than one, it reveals the singer's career, and the couple she formed for over 40 years with René Angélil, both her manager and her one true love. It's both romantic and carefully thought through, over-the- top and yet confoundingly sincere.
This adventure, which was an opportunity to conquer new markets as it was a gamble on the part of the producer. It was to reveal to 500 million viewers the transformation of an artist, illustrating how she went from a little girl with a cheesy look and crooked teeth to a young woman ready to seize the moment. Less than 10 years after this victory, Céline Dion was chosen to sing "My Heart Will Go On", the song from Titanic which, like the film, became a worldwide hit. A stunning career!
Through this contest and its breathtaking Grand Final, the portrait of a female competitor emerged. And so it was Switzerland that first gave Céline Dion her champion title and attributes.
