The Chao Phraya river winds like a snake through the metropolis of Bangkok. Every day, a handful of men dive for treasure - with home-made diving bells!

The Chao Praya meanders like a snake through Thailand’s capital city of Bangkok. Centuries before, kings, European trading companies and immigrants from other parts of Asia settled along the banks of the river. And so today the Chao Praya is an unfathomable treasure chest. Thailand’s River of the Kings is home territory for Tding Panthong and his uncle Somchai. The two are treasure divers. They search underwater for things which dealers, monks and warlords sank, lost or hid in the river over the centuries.
