Aurélien, Milo, Jack and Luna are rehearsing the ballet Raymonda that will be running during the dance school's annual show at the Opéra Garnier. They are almost 17.  This year will also see the Gala des Ecoles being held – which will be attended by students from foreign dance schools.

It will be a great occasion to compare techniques and teachings as well as talk about the future – the commitments and possibilities offered abroad. Dance is a universal language after all. Estéban, Tommaso and Balthazar are from the Opéra's dance school; they have been admitted to the San Francisco ballet school. The school's French director – Patrick Armand – has made his whole career on international stages. The Anhaltische Theater of Dessau's company (former East-Germany) is now comprised of eight dancers. Marin is cumulating the soloist roles, like this time in The Miraculous Mandarin. He is living with his partner, a young German dancer – Maria Sara. In Paris, Marin meets up with Simon – who works at the Opéra – they have the same job but one has a fixed-term contract and the other has a permanent one. One word that makes their lives radically different.
