In the far south of Mozambique, on the border with the Republic of South Africa, lies the Maputo Ecological Reserve: the vast green area stretches as far as the eye can see. Here, the savanna gets lost in the ocean.

Mozambique is the home of Mia Couto, the only African writer in the running for the Nobel Prize for Literature. A novelist but also a biologist, Mia Couto has been traveling through this territory for several decades, describing the invisible links that bind man to nature.
