After incarceration, resilience: faced with years of torture during their imprisonment, Syrian women now tell their history on a theater stage... French-Syrian producer Ramzi Choukair asked them to write their own story and playing themselves on stage.

Mariam, Hind, Ayat and Roweida are Syrian. They share a common history of being incarcerated in the infamous Adra prison in Damas – whether under Hafez al-Assad or his son Bashar’s regime. They have paid a hefty price for their political commitment. After their liberation they have all fled Syria and now live in Europe. They now testify for the others – all the ones who still languish in the Syrian regime's prisons.
