Anti-Judaism, Judeophobia, hatred of Jews... Anti-Semitism is a long-standing phenomenon – but where does it come from?
It has evolved for more than two thousand years, while many different societies rose and fell.

This investigation retraces the genealogy of anti-Semitism, from its origins to the present day – and for the first time with images. Some thirty leading international experts have created a fresco that will explore the multiple facets of the phenomenon and its evolution through the ages. To do so, they have been drawing on the traces left throughout the world and the 3D historical reconstructions developed by Ubisoft for its Assassin's Creed series.

This film, consisting entirely of archives, will recount the daily lives of both German civilians and soldiers during the six years of WW2, from its start in September 1939 up to the months following the German surrender. A plunge into the private lives of a people on the path to self-destruction.

April 1945. The allied bombings had reduced Germany to ruins. The American and Soviet forces were concentrating on Berlin. Yet even when everything was already clearly lost, the Germans continued to fight for the Nazi regime to the bitter end. However, when the Second World War exploded six years earlier, the idea of war was deeply unpopular amongst the German population.
How can such a tremendous shift in public opinion be explained ? What did the Germans believe they were fighting for ? Were they aware that they were leading a genocidal war? Why did the German people continue to fight to the death, despite the bombings, hardships and deprivation, convinced that they were fighting for their survival ?
Based on The German War. A Nation Under Arms, 1939-45 - the innovative work by the historian Nicholas Stargardt drawn from a Herculean research effort - this film, consisting entirely of archives, will recount the daily lives of both German civilians and soldiers during the six years of the Second World War, from its start in September 1939 up to the months following the German surrender.
Constructed from the letters, diaries and eyewitness accounts of Germans from all walks of life, the film plunges us into the lives of the men and women who lived through the tornado born of their own violence. Soldiers writing to their fiancees or their families, World War I veterans, members of Hitler Youth, persecuted Jews, anti-Nazis, priests and pastors, journalists, writers... The words they left behind reveal the personal thoughts of a people at war, raising the curtain on the mechanics of the Nazi regime.

This is a direct dive into the tsunami of World War II, when Nazism pushed its mortal logic to the extreme end.

When one thinks of kangaroos, one thinks of Australia. And yet, they completed a fantastical voyage around the world, from North and South America, to Europe and Antarctica, before landing in Oceania. Where do the animals symbolic of each five continents really come from?

65 million years ago, dinosaurs perished, allowing the advent of mammals on every continent. Over that time, climates have changed, continents have shifted, oceans and seas have risen and died out, new predators have appeared provoking the evolution of these animals and great migrations for survival often far from where they were first seen, from one continent to another.
Scientists use the latest research of evolutionary paleontology to tell the 65 million year odyssey of animals we think we know so well: the monkey, the elephant, the horse, the bear and the kangaroo.

The working class has played an essential part of European countries’ history – through revolutions, wars and social progress.  In 4 episodes of a spectacular tale, this show reminds us of what our societies owe to the workers’ movements and its struggles.

The story begins in the 18th century. But their fight carries on today. Much of our current democracies’ institutions and values flow from older working class demands: universal suffrage or social solidarity are some of its most telling examples. Our culture – the way we dress, the songs we listen to, the movies we watch and the mass-media themselves – heavily relies on the workers’ erstwhile popular culture. Finally, all across Asia, Africa and Latin America, millions of women and men experience lives similar to the 18th and 19th centuries’ European working class. We will bring out the present’s ever looming shadow by constantly flowing back and forth between history and current situations. Those contemporary testimonies and photographs will help us gather the threads of memory between yesterday and nowadays together again.

Famous for its ghost, the Garnier Opera House is above all the product of a titanic building site and the window of a time, the Second Empire. From 1852 to 1870, eighteen years of flamboyance made Paris the capital of modernity and the seat of "the civilization of opera".

This 90-minute documentary aims to tell the story of the great Paris construction of the Garnier Opera House, which lasted 14 years (from 1861 to 1875). While plunging into the backstage, its wheels and its legends, it will explain the special place it occupied in what Nietzsche called the "civilization of opera", the golden age of the bourgeoisie based on the appearance and the spectacular, which was then put in place. By the admission of Charles Garnier, the Opera as a whole was to serve as stage for the new elite of the time. From the story of its construction and architectural details, we will open windows on historical, social, political and artistic themes that will be treated to the image by paintings, period photos, film clips, animations in 3D and historical evocations (fiction). We will also call on specialized speakers on these different themes. Interviewed in studio and in situ, they will guide us, step by step, in this building still alive and full of anecdotes. Throughout the story, we will also follow the myth of the ghost, invented from scratch by the novelist Gaston Leroux, and so well integrated into the monument that it remains today THE symbol and an important key to understanding. Finally, music and ballet will be present in this film, in the form of musical excerpts and lyrical performances.

After "700 SHARKS" and "EXPEDITION ANTARCTICA", Laurent Ballesta has yet again challanged himself to a new world record: spend 28 days at a depth of 100 meters, pushing the limits of his body to reveal the luxuriant and unknown depths of the Mediterranean.

The Mediterranean. Because people have been travelling there for thousands of years, it is believed to be without secrets. And yet, far below its surface, lie vast unexplored territories, luxurious gardens worthy of the finest tropical coral reefs. These natural wonders are inaccessible to the traditional diver, in a twilight zone, between 60 and 120 m, where there’s less than 1% of sunlight. If diving at such depths is always a challenge, staying there is a fantasy, a utopia that becomes reality in Planet Mediterranean.
In the tradition of Commander Cousteau and his «houses under the sea», the team of diver-photographer Laurent Ballesta is undertaking a new world-record setting mission in complete freedom and without time limit.

After a career spanning 40 years, this American actor and winner of 3 Golden Globes does not seem to have developed one wrinkle. From Top Gun to Mission: Impossible, his legendary smile has dominated many blockbuster productions. He has inspired Stanley Kubrick, Steven Spielberg, Oliver Stone and many others.

Although he was, for a long time, Hollywood's highest paid star, Tom Cruise is also a secret and tormented actor whose break-ups and Scientology beliefs provide regular fodder for the tabloids. This film will try to unveil the man behind the film icon.

A thousand billion dollars up in smoke: in a few short months last year, the giants of Silicon Valley suffered their worst drop in stock prices since the global economic crisis of 2008. So to improve its own health, Big Tech has decided to take over ours.

Google, Apple, Facebook and Amazon have already started replacing national health structures by mining their users’ personal data. Through artificial intelligence and their boundless capacity for innovation, they have inserted themselves into a failing health-care sector, which they see as just another market to conquer.
Google sorts patients in British emergency rooms. Apple takes the world's pulse, and has promised to make improving public health "its greatest contribution to mankind." Facebook has its own Zuckerberg Hospital and shares its users' "secret medical information" with the pharmaceutical industry. As for Amazon, Jeff Bezos's company has started delivering medicine, and is entering the medical-insurance market.
Is our health the next sector facing Uberization? Will nations be able to protect their citizens from the maneuvers of the Big Four?

With his grizzled moustache and chiselled features, Charles Bronson is the embodiment of a slightly archaic, brooding and almost reactionary virility. But who is he really?

Often hired to play marginalised Native American or Mexican characters before he was typecast as the image of a lone killer, Bronson was a major figure in the popular cinema of the 1960s and 70s and his stony-faced, physical acting and career are worthy of a second look.
